So Meredith has given everyone the date of the e2c scrapathon for 2012 and a few details here.
Apparently there is some chat around town regarding it clashing with the Cummins Show, and a wee bit of bad feeling regarding this.
For one, i am really sad and disappointed to hear of this second and third hand as no-one has actually said a thing to me.
However, I wanted to let people know that date wise, there wasn't much left to choose from when we made our booking at Trinity Haven in October last year.
The choice we were faced with was
a. the weekend of the 13th and 14th of October
or
b. not have a scrapathon at all.
We apologise that the only weekend free for Trinity that is suitable for farmer's wives (ie. not too late for windowing), free from the long weekend (family holiday time), dodging school holidays and free from sport (footy/netball finals) just happened to coincide with the Cummins Show.
This was not at ALL planned to be this way.
We understood that it would impact a few but we also hope that you can understand that this is the only date free for our venue.
Thanks for your support.

Well, I'm all for the Scrapathon I cannot cannot wait...
And remember you can't please all of the people all of the time...
Hopefully the people who had a bit to say can understand that! xxx
I'll be there thankyou girls you do your best and sometimes dates don't suit everyone. Will be putting it on my calander for sure. Cheers.xxx
I agree with Ali.
you can't please all the people all the time.
No matter what date is decided upon it will inevitably clash with someones plans. Whether it be a wedding, a sons birthday(raising my hand in the air here) or other commitments. If you had to pander to each of us and try to book a date that suited EVERYONE you wouldn't ever get a retreat off the ground.
If we can't make it, well that's sad,but life does go on. :-)
you girls do a great job.
Xx
Perhaps you'd like to consider booking mini retreat 2013 now if it's so popular in October. Cummins show is always the 2nd saturday of the month for your info.
Thank-you Thank-you Thank-you girls for your support - glad to hear you still want a mini retreat!! It is hard to fit in with everything else nowdays.
It will be great to see all who can make it and those that can't, you will be missed!xx
Wow, I haven't gone on E2C blog for so long... woops. As above, yes you can't please everyone and I appreciate the 3 of you ladies giving up your weekend and the planning beforehand, for us as well.
Count me in for that weekend!! I've actually got my Mum's 70th in October to organise and had waited for the dates to come out for srapathon, so I could pick which weekend to plan the 70th!! Hehe... yes it's all about ME.. but shhh don't tell my family.
