Amanda P had scrapped

Whoooo Hooo.

Amanda P is officially no longer a lurker. She are now an E2C blog scrapper.

Congrats.

Amanda P says.

The pups are nearly 3 weeks old and absolutely gorgeous. I have completed this project as a keep sake but also a way to share these little critters. We have 8 for sale so if you know any one who could do with a rumble tumble of puppy fun in their home maybe they can contact us!

If anyone is enquiring about the pups email Tiff (addy on the right of screen near the top) and I'll pass on your Addy to Amanda P to follow up.
What a great idea Amanda P. The cute little things fill out their wrinkles so quickly. You should do a Sorbent toilet paper photo session with them and all the kids.

BTW Amanda P is a superwoman with 6 children and still finds to scrap.
You mustn't sleep much.

Tracey's Yeelanna

Here is Tracey's page on her home town.

Love the buckle on the ribbons (or is that David's belt there?) and the photos made me have a chuckle.

That particular Kaiser paper is lovely - one of my favs and it looks gorgeous there. The little tags with the info on them are great!
Well done Trace! You make Yeelanna look so good!

Another one coming home.

Maryanne and Sandra have come up with similar ideas but both pages look very different too! Maryanne i just love the title - as this little town is so special to me as it is for all of us! It doesn't seem to matter if you simply go to Pt Lincoln for the day or a holiday away somewhere or go away for a long period of time.....that drive into Cummins really signifies 'home'

The vintage type papers here are gorgeous and is that machine sewing i can see along the edge? Brilliant. The paper layering behind the photo and the little carolee's creation stickers look fabulous (Meredith will be proud - carolee creation queen!)

Thanks for participating - what a great page celebrating 'home'.

Around the world to

One place i love to go in our little town, is to the post boxes, to see if there is a letter waiting for me from somewhere around the world!!

You see, i still do the snail mail thing and i have letters postmarked from Edinburgh, Birmingham, Kajaani (Finland), New Brunswick, Berlin and Vienna arriving at my post box. And it is an amazing thing to know it has travelled around the world to come to me, at Edillilie.

Hey, it sure beats those letters with a window!!

OMFG Sandra - i LURVE this!!

This is bloody brilliant.

A fantastic take on this challenge and a scene that we will all instantly recognize if you are a local.

God i love it.

So perfect. Top stuff Sandra.....you are just an inspiration!

Edited to add that Sandra has credited Barbara Schipplock as her inspiration. Here is Barbara's below (Sandra you clever chook incorperating challenge 12 and 13 LOL)

Tiff's town

Phewww Meredith.

This is the most work I've done yet for a challenge LO. From taking all the shots and I printed my own at home for this one to get it done in time. Some I had to print twice. What a time waster. And then working out how to fit them all (nicely).

Am really pleased with the result.

I have edged each shot with my paper piercer just to give it a little definition. Used my white signo pen where I wanted to sew my rows to give the white thread a bit more punch.

The white dymo Cummins title is a photoshop brush and added a couple of rubons. Very little embellishing as its busy enough as it is. The blue dymo says signs of life.

Challenge 13

Well we are moving on now to challenge 13 - lucky for some!! Apparently some of you have been texting Tiff to see when a new challenge is coming!!! Eager beavers!!

This time a page is in order ...

about...

your town!!

If you live on a farm or out of town then use your closest town.

So your page might be about a place you go in your town or features of your town or some historical facts, something like that. This page doesn't necessarily have to have people in the photos. Don't do it on your own home / house though.

Now I haven't even done an example page so it will be great to see how this one is interpreted!! One person I spoke to thought they could come up with a page and the other person didn't seem too keen on the idea ;-)

Give it a go!!

Here are some photos I took recently around Cummins...

Now just a note ... don't worry about feeling strange taking photos here, there and everywhere. It's all in name of art!! If someone looks at you strangely give them a strange look back!! If someone asks you what you are doing tell them ... you might get to speak to someone who lives in your town that you have never spoken to before.

My photos are not the type that you have to do either. You might have an old photo of something in your town and you could take a new one to compare how times have changed.

Just have fun ... can't wait to see you creations!!

Jenny's jumped in

Hi Jenny.
Sorry I didnt get onto these last nite. Large nite out. Still feeling it now.

Action

Macro
sun
how tranquil is this.

loving this last one. Esp with the person off on left. Focus is on the river and you come across that person nearly be accident.

Jenny says

Action is Luke in Sports day, Morgan. The flower is an Iris I took in my friends garden, Morgan.
Another is a sunset from around Cummins. Lindsay Point, Renmark is where we went camping once, it's actually just over the border because we needed a fishing permit, but it was just a peaceful, glorious place to be. The mist over the water was too exquisite to ignore

Lisa's looking into the viewfinder

Attached are my photos for the challenge.
I won't get any of flowers or frost (cos our yard is full of weeds and too cold for me in the mornings)! so my Macro moment is Halle asleep in the cot. Taken about 3 weeks ago, I think.
Dawn is from our front verandah earlier this week. Beautiful colours in the clouds.
Image 37 (Halle with toys) is taken in front of her bedroom window, I think f3.2.
Image 22, sun thru trees, just taken on scenery mode.
And image 408, taken in March when the motocross was here. On sports mode. Not the best photo I took, but I like this one because it was taken from my kitchen bench,(where I stand to cook etc) and through the front window. We had a great view for the day!

what great shots Lisa. the solar one is fabo with the branch blocking the direct light so you dont have the solar flare in the shot.

Awwww. not sure who are the toys and who is really real ;)
Stunning
Shhhh. Tiptoe.

I reckon we may have some petrol head scrappers who love the sound of bikes.
check out this shot from Lisa. My mouth fell open.
Fan-bloody-tastic.
Having the people there on the elevated platform gives me a comparison of size and height in the air that this trick rider is doing his stunt. I would hate to be his mother *gulp*

sandra pick of the bunch

Sandra says
Here is my fave layout
Not my best layout I have done, but I love the photos and the memories attached!
Garry hate the main photo.. but I love it... definetly not a posed photo!
journalling says
What could be better?
Fresh mandarins from our own tree and then seeing how far you can spit the pips.
Yep, must be a guy thing.
What a shot to catch DH smiling (nay, laughing) LOL
What a sense of humor. May have to get my DH to teach the kids to spit pips.

;)

what the....

curiosity has got the better of me.

I happened to have the camera in the car when I thought of this.

Just south of Wanilla is a tree on the roadside festooned with shoes.

What does this mean????

Is it some sort of secret meeting place for old and retired footwear?

Could it be the resting place for leather and synthetic foot ornaments?

Is there no meaning at all or something deep and profound?

And, most of all, who started it? Its been growing for a number of years.

Kylie S has talent

Hi Kylie. Welcome aboard. boy oh boy u have some talent with your camera.
Check these out....

she says

This challenge sounded like fun so I thought I'd jump on board and join in !

1) Flowers : I couldn't choose between the following 3 !
Lavender, Frangipani & Wattle
This was from the Air Show in Cummins back in April (I don't seem to have any recent 'action shots'). They were so hard to catch up there in the sky ... a great way to get a stiff neck ! I got quite a few 'sky only' shots that day ! - I'd zoom in to take the photo and if they whizzed past too fast it was so hard to catch up with them again !
I quite liked this one of Charlie - we were out picking rocks and once the kids were sick of that job they went worm hunting (and founds heaps!). Here's Charlie hard at work studying a worm !
This was just a snap I took as I was catching up to the ute during a rock picking weekend back in June ... one of those accidental snaps that turn out OK.

It's taken in our back paddock on the edge of 'South Block' . The view is great from this paddock which made the job of rock picking a little easier ! ... The colours seem to blend into one another ... from the brown dirt to the green paddocks and trees ... the blue / grey hazy hills on the horizon and onto the blue sky (and with a ute / trailer / rocks and kids smack bang in the middle of it all - which is what I was taking the photo of in the first place !).

Marika's take on the challenge

LOVE love love the BW of your little one.

Great shots Markia. Well done

I couldnt choose a favourite, so have posted them all

the sunset is just superb. is that wool or dew on the fenceline??
