This surprise challenge involves you picking a magazine cover (come on i know you have got a pile stashed away there somewhere!) and copy it.... yep scraplift a cover that you love.
This is mine that i worked on today. It is very liberating not having to think of design, colour and style.......actually i loved it. Copying someone else's work also enables you to try different styles and techniques that you may not think to do on you own.
The cover i have 'borrowed' is the Feb. issue of Creating Keepsakes.
and here is my version:
Of course the first rule of scraplifting or gaining inspiration from others work is to always credit. So the original layout was from the Feb. issue of CK 2010 and the artist is Susan Weinroth.
Lets see what you can scraplift! Remember cover layouts only!!

What a clever idea for a challenge!! Well done to both Kylie and Mel too - what a buzz!!
Amanda your photo of the girls is beautiful and I love your scraplift!
Off to look for a cover!
that little book is so cool. awesome idea.
did you notice that the background for this months CK and last months is the same except for a little photo editing wizardry. The angle of light and shadows is exactly the same. they've just changed the colour and texture. lol. I see so much in little details these days.
amanda I too was a big fan of the sweet valley high series.I adored those books, and so wished I could go to sweet valley high school!
your little book is so clever.

and what a great photo.. those girls of yours are growing up so fast!!!
Great idea for a challenge!
Love this layout Amanda and the colours you have used are delicious. Its interesting to see nearly everyone has scrapped CK magazine...I must admit it is my favourite as there are more simple layouts in it. Love everything about your layout, do you mind if I lift yours???
Fantastic layout Amanda, I remember the books they were a favourite. Great photo of the girls.
