Rub on frustration ...

"Hi Meredith,

Rubons, well I have come to the conclusion that I do not get along with them!!! I don't know whether they were dodgy or if it was just me? But the whole packet just wouldn't work, so one whole LO went in the bin, along with the rest of those rubons. (frustration plus!!!!!) Do they go off?

I managed to salvage the photo and so here is my lame entry, if you look hard enough the little bird is a rubon. Bring on the next challenge!! LOL

Cheers Karen D"
Well even though it was frustrating Karen it is a great layout! Love how you have done the title. Really like the cluster in the bottom right corner too! And your designer clouds!! Very nice! Oh and I have some of that fabric paper (the tree one with the cream background) ... should pull it out and use it!!

Lame? Lame? wtf?
Such a fantastic 'lame' layout!
Love everything about it!

and I agree with the rub-ons being frustrating, sounds like you need to invest in one of those rub on removers!...They really do work! Believe me, I have used mine heaps of times! lol

This is beautiful Karen! I like the embossed cardstock, and yes the fabric paper is yummy! I like trees at the moment.

I have problems with rubons too sometimes, different brands work better than others. I store mine stacked on top of each other... tightly....and wonder if that affects them too.

How do you store your rubons?? Anyone??

Nice layout Karen, I too love the papers used and the cluster of bits & pieces at the bottom.
What rub on remover???? Have never heard or seen one - please pass on this vital piece of information!! Trace

Sandra, I do have a rubon remover and it was used overtime the other day. LOL!!
Tracey, it is just like an eraser but for rubons, and they work a treat. Mine is a Kaiser one, but Im sure there are many more out there.
Sue, I store my rubons in a magazine holder (the upright kind)
Thanks Ladies :)

oh Karen. LOVE LOVE LOVE this.

Your colour balance is exceptional. Love how everything looks as if it is just made for your page.

beautiful.

(i can't believe you have so much trouble with rub-ons. I think they are great and have a huge collection - although i have to admit i do collect more than i use!)

PS. if you have never heard of a rub-on remover Kaiser have them (two small ones per pack) for about $4. Xyron also make larger ones which i think are closer to $6

you can see them here (copy and paste this address in the www. window) -

or

I am 100% certain all our local shops have these in stock.

The look and feel just like a normal pencil eraser (with bumps)and they simply 'rub off rub ons'.

Beware of cheap rub-ons as the dont' come off as easily and cleanly as some of the nicer brands.

(I have also used a normal pencil eraser in times of crisis and this also works well - you simply press A LOT harder than with pencil rubbing out)
